Love the look, 5 burners and the knobs to turn them on! My only criticism is that there was no instruction manual...or cleaning product included with my purchase. I have purchased 2 other GE similar cook tops in the past and both included these items. And since my previous appliance was a GE, it fit perfectly. Just wish there had been a manual included.

This replaced a cooktop I had since 1998. I love this cooktop. Easy to clean with W Cooktop Cream. Quick boil, melt and keep warm features =amazing. All eyes maintain consistent temperature control settings by coming off and on during cooking=no burning of food, cook a fried egg on 6=perfect every time. Controls come off easy for cleaning. This was one of 2 cooktops that had an installation depth of 4™.

Switches Blown Up Multiple Times Multiple Repairs

I do NOT recommend this product. I have had all the switches replaced, a burner replaced. Multiple repairs in 2 years of owning. NOT acceptable. Right now, all the switches are blown out and not in use. This cooktop is not meant for people who cook a lot. Only light use. I cannot use this cooktop anymore and I am disappointed in GE. They make quality products and typically have excellent customer support, but they seem to drop the ball on this one.

Great 5-Burner Cook Top

This is a very nice cooktop. Burners get hot quickly. The controls can easily be locked to prevent accidental lighting. Installation was a little difficult due to limited space available for the power box. I couldn't give this 5 stars because of the surface. It is a little more difficult to clean than my last stove w /double oven was. All five burners seem to heat evenly. Overall, I would give this a 4.5 rating.

It looks nice and functions as it should, however, the knob placement is terrible and is in the way while cooking, especially with the larger skillet. I™™m sure they will be bumped and melted soon. I would not have bought it had I realized this. Also, when I reached out to GE I was informed they do not make silicone stovetop protectors, so it will also get easily scratched Not happy with this purchase.

cook top is hard to clean, "hot" red button on upper right burner turns on even though burner is not in use- seems to be triggered by the burner's on either side of it. At least the burner isn't actually hot. Also, the weights in the knobs have fallen out of 2 different knobs so obviously aren't glued in well. And, I've only had the stove for 4 months although we purchased it 5 months ago. My old glass stove top was much easier to clean but this one gets dusty grey marks on it that don't want to come off

our new stove top arrived on time, well packaged and undamaged. It is well made and fit into the opening for our previous GE stove top perfectly. The controls and thoughtfully laid out and we have found the dual function heating areas to be very useful. overall its a great upgrade from our old resistance wire stove top.

5 burner stove is great. The on/off knobs are easy to use. The surface is very nice and it looks great in my kitchen. Love the compatability with the cabinets, the wall oven and the entire kitchen. The installer was professional and courteous. He absolutely knew the installation process and you can tell that he had a ton of experience in this field. He was great.

Cook top always looks greasy no matter how much I clean/wipe it. Burner sizes are disappointing, the two smaller ones on the left are too close together to even put my small omelet pans side by side (using larger burner to make pancakes at the same time). Thought I would like knobs in the center front, I don't, they take up too much space, I'm always reaching over them, they are in the way. It also seems the burners take longer to heat up than my previous unit. I loved my previous GE cooktop, I should have done more research before I bought this new unit, wish I could return it for something else. Make your selection wisely!

The unit is exactly what we thought. The color matches our countertops. Our last cooktop had the controls on the side which was easier to clean. The light to indicate heat for the middle burner stays on all the time - disappointing but it was in other reviews.

This is the update from my original review. From 2/17/2025. Original install. The surface is falling apart. The painted DOT mesh is very heat sensitive. Hot pots when moved over the surface causes complete discoloration.

While I love the way the product looks and functions pretty good it does have some flaws that would have been deal breakers on the purchase had I known. A heat indicator for the largest eye in back doesn't light. Instead one of the smaller heat indicator lights come on. Wife unable to view scale of knobs. I agree it is hard to see. Design here could have been more user freindly. Purchased when on sale for 48% off so this may be the reason.

JEP5030DT1BB RADIANT COOKTOP - installed and working in less than an hour. Works perfect! Replacing an old GE profile unit that was 24 yrs old. 1 burner was just not working right and 1 other was on it's way out. So we upgraded to the 5 burner set up. They get HOT quick and I love the design. Whoohoo! Back to cooking again. Whew!

I haven™™t had this a long period of time, but it works really well so far. I have no complaints and every appliance I have in my kitchen is GE. I expect this cooktop to be the same level of excellent that I have received from my other appliances. P.s. if you are someone with arthritis, the knobs are easy to move so that™™s one less thing you will have to be worried about. Wonderful appliance for the price!

It's amazing when you go from an older cook top to a new one. It heats up quickly and the low settings will stay low. The fast boil on this is seriously fast. I waited to write this review to give it a good test run. We like this cook top. It is fantastic.
