Basic but good problem after 1 month bad support

Capacity is great noice is about what we expected. As others have said having more pre-sets for temperature would be very nice. The ones available without going into Manual mode are either too hot or too cool. The lint trap isnt well designed either. It has too many nooks and crannies where lint gets trapped vs. being a one piece screen like on many other machines--and the fit/finish of the lint trap door isnt as tight as it could be. Most importantly we have been using this machine for approximately 1 month and this morning theres a strange sound coming from the motor. Scheduled a service call for tomorrow will see how it pans out. But GETTING the service scheduled was the worst customer service experience Ive had in a long time. I have Premium Care. LGs website says call them. So I did. They say Call LG we kick in after factory warranty. They transfer me and I get an agent whose second language is English on a bad connection 2-3 second delay which is a lot when youre trying to have a conversation who was clearly reading through a troubleshooting script instead of listening to what I was saying despite my growing frustration. On the whole I assume the problem will be sorted. We have other LG appliances and they are good. Customer support? Not so much.

Good basic dryer

I wanted a good basic dryer didnt feel that I needed some of the fancier features offered. I also didnt care about having another app on my phone. This one fits the bill but I wish that it was more flexible. I prefer to use low heat for most of my drying however for most of the sensor-drying settings it goes to medium heat and it will not permit me to change it. In order to use low heat I have to do a timed dry instead which is rather frustrating since my 22 year old dryer that I gave up let me set for what I wanted. It works well but I just wish the settings were more flexible.

It was great when it worked. 2 years and 7 months after buying and installing the control board is no good. Were out of factory warranty too. After getting error code TE1 troubleshooting and research I learned that the circuit boards are a common fault with LG dryers.

I bought this to replace a 22 year old dryer. The electronic controls took some time to get used to. It is fairly easy to use but I prefer to use low heat not medium on my clothing. Most settings using sensor drying are exclusively medium heat so I have had to use timed drying. I would prefer to be able to use the sensor with low heat but it is not an option.

Stupidest Design Ever

The reason I gave three stars to this review Is because after the dryer was bought and installed we realized you didnt have a light when you open the door. This is beyond stupid. This dryer was over $700 and they cant put in a light ridiculous wish I could return it for this reason it dries fine but when you put clothes in it and they are black especially when they are black you cannot see if you have taken all of them out ridiculous.

Bought this model because CR recommended and it has reliably worked as advertised. One minor irritation was going through the hoops of enrolling in your ThinQ app only to find out at the very end of the process that my model is not compatible with IoT comms. Dont recall any mention of that in the store Lowes as compared to the other models they offered.

Still waiting for delivery 3 weeks later

Ordered 3 weeks ago and still waiting for delivery. LG contracted with RXO Logistics to deliver the washer and dryer but they have no-showed for the appointment TWICE and keep giving me the runaround when I call. They refuse to actually schedule the delivery and instead just say they will call back but never actually do.

A good deal that works well

Overall it works well. The controls take a little getting used to compared to our old very basic dryer. We have used the setting for avoiding wrinkles when drying cycle but sometimes there are still some wrinkles. The one feature we wished it has is a light inside when you open it. Overall it was a good deal and we are satisfied.

DOESNT DRY. DONT BUY

Terrible dryer We bought this dryer due to the great reviews. After less than a year it quit drying the clothes properly. There is condensation that builds up on the door of the dryer and leaves our clothes smelly stinky. We have tried all the settings trouble shot with an LG representative got the dryer vent/tubing cleaned and the problem persists. The LG representative basically said that there is nothing that they can do since its out of warranty when we called had a baby and two storms this year that have kept us busy. There is no backing from the company on their product performance. This is a $1000 dryer and they wont back their product at all. Will not be buying any products from LG again. No integrity in the company and have lost my trust in their products. Either the products they produce are only expected to last a year which is why there is such a short warranty or we got a defective product in which case I would expect a good company to say that our experience is not the norm and they will exchange the product for one that works. Very disappointed in the whole experience and sad that this is how low customer service has gone.

16 Years of Amazing Service to our Family

This LG Washer/Dryer had heavy usage. I took care of my disabled Grandfather Father 2 Sisters and a nephew Performed very well for MANY years. At the 16yr mark the bearings went on the dryer while the washer still worked perfectly I replaced them both with LG PRODUCTS. My biggest complaint was with the design of the front load washer The rubber boot that seals the door has to be towel dried after every wash day or it mildews and molds inside that boot YUCK. Also the front load units after a wash cycle is.complete retains a good amount of water in the bottom of the unit under the drum. This is a design flaw That standing water gets smelly and nasty and next time u wash u are washing the clothes in that leftover residual water YUCK For this reason I would never buy a front load again or until they correct these design flaws. If u have a lot of money to burn buy a Speed Queen However if you are a average Joe like me buy ONLY an LG brand washer/dryer You wont be sorry. NOTE: LG has the BEST MOST competent customer service in the appliance world That actually COUNTS in this day and age

Cannot give the dryer 5 stars. On sensor dry the clothes are still damp when the dryer cycle ends. I need to use timed dry all the time.

I have the machines for two months. They work better than my previous LG washer dryer. But I was promised a 20 rebate which I have never received Nor have I received any response after I called LG customer service and they promised to follow up.

Missing an interior light.

Dryer operates well. Written instructions not provided for front operation panel. Called customer assistance and they offered to walk me though it by 82 years old and need something visual. Im hoing to find something I can print on line. Agent did also send a video which I havent watched as yet. Very disappointed that there is no light in the drum. After 60+ years of owning dryers It never occurred to me there wouldnt be a light. I would not have purchased it had I been aware.

Natural Gas to LP

I would like to suggest that dryers come with both Natural and LP gas fittings. It would also be advantageous to have an access panel on the side of the dryer to allow changing the fittings.

Service very bad that I got gas dryer front panel lost sensor dry and he energy star logo. I complained in homedepot manager called to you. To get appromitte send sticker to me but I still not get it.

Defective Product

This product has very poor workmanship and I am afraid it will not hold up. The product is just 1.5 years old and the paint is peeling from the unit all around the door. Buyer beware of this product and LG support or lack of it. They DO NOT Stand by their product.
