Im lucky to live in an area where it doesnt usually get too hot and I can just open the windows. This has provided relief on those few days when the heat is unbearable. Its easy to pull out of the closet and set up. I put in the living room and it keeps my entire one bedroom condo comfortable.

Good AC smart features lackluster

This AC is pretty decent for a portable unit. Its quiet enough for a bedroom. The inverter feature is what makes it good. I liked the window unit better but someone complained and were stuck with this instead. This appliance is supposed to be smart but the app LG Thinq keeps filling with spammy garbage and the appliance controls get harder to find. You cannot use any popular smart home app with LG stuff. Only some of these apps have a reduced feature set. Some dont work period.

Any time the unit is powered on the fan is running regardless of whether the compressor is needed for cooling. So if the weather is not warm enough to require cooling too bad youre stuck listening to the stupid fan 24/7. I called LG and they confirmed that the fan on the unit is designed to run non stop. What a ridiculous feature I have never encountered an air conditioner that doesnt shut down once the desired temperature is reached. I dont want to listen to the thing running constantly.

Praise and small issue

I had a cheaper brand before the LG and hated it. It was very noisy and it kept coming on and shortly after turning off again so it was very slow to cool. The LG is quiet and cools quickly. However the fan does not turn off after the compressor goes off it runs all the time on a low speed. It would be more efficient if it turned off as advertised. It doesnt have an Auto setting on the fan speed settings.

This product works great but it only lasted two summers. I bought two of these one in 2021 and a second from LG in 2022 as a backup. I used them to cool an office space in the basement. The first one failed after two summers in 2023 the second one worked fine for 2023 and 2024. However it only lasted a few days in 2025 under relatively light load. Both units leaked R32. I had both units elevated and setup to drain via hose into the basement drain. These units were kept in a very clean environment and religiously maintained filters cleaned etc. Lots of people have had the same problem with this unit works fine but a year or two outside of warranty the sealed system fails. The cost of a replacement unit is a fraction of the cost to get it fixed. LG offered a 15 coupon but I am pretty sure Id be paying $300+ a year for an AC unit that will only last about two years. This is a great unit cools very well and is very energy efficient its let down by the poor quality and terrible reliability. Im just glad this unit failed now and not in the middle of summer. I opted to buy another brand.

I am very pleased with this portable a/c unit. It is very quiet and not as large as our old unit. The hose is securely fastened to the back of the unit in a way that doesnt put undue pressure on it. The controls are easy to use.

I bought this a month ago. It is a very well built floor air-condition with special features like an automatic vent that fans the room when turned on. It also has a sleep function which is quieter than most. There is still a noise factor but less than most. It is heavy to carry so you will need help. All in all an excellent floor AC unit.

After a lot of research I selected the LG model and it has solved our upstairs air conditioning issues completely. At our 2 story home the existing heat pump could not maintain a cool enough temperature when it was 90 degrees or hotter. By utilizing the Lc dual converter a/c in a large main bedroom it is cool and comfortable all the time.. Also the look and features are very appealing. Thank you for a great product

I bought this during a recent heat wave. Within 24 hours it lowered the OUTSIDE temperature by 15 However what was most striking was how easily it set up with the window inserts working as designed and the vent hose attachment from the unit to the window being very easy. I especially love being able to sit in my downstairs living room and control the functions - in fact I dont even have to be home to do that. Finally it is quite quiet especially on the sleep mode.

I also called the factory and they said they would send the manual and hardware just a couple of screws. That was 2 months ago still nothing. I was so anxious to get this product - from the on line it looked so simple to install and maintain. Then it came and I couldnt wait to get it hooked up. BUT - .the foam strips on top and under the slide piece are a good and simple touch. Then you get to the plate itself - not a good plan. Hard to figure out correct placement of screws. Should be a simpler configuration like one of your competitors who have a center slide adjustment that is secured with a wing nut SO SIMPLE. Then there is the putting the vent hose into the slide plate hole - again not simple. Hard to make the hose stay in place. I have no complaint with the amount of cooling this provides. That part is working well in my small bedroom - so far. Then there is the wireless component. Ive tried 3 times to get this connected to my phone with NO LUCK. That isnt critical - but would certainly be a useful option to have since Im about to have back surgery and going up the 16 steps to the bedroom just to turn on this piece of equipment is not optimal.

Fantastic unit from the beginning. Double hung windows so very easy to install the outdoor exhaust vent with the included window panel and foam use some duct tape to seal completely. Have owned for 4 years using each summer and has not let me down while also not using too much power. Love the wifi remote access on my smartphone to see the temp at home and turn it on when Im out and can turn off remotely when cool enough. The bedtime timer turn off also works well. Needs to be within about 3-4 feet from window but you can move it has wheels to point the air where you want it to go. After summer remove the window vent mount and keep it in the room as its a fairly compact pleasing design.

I purchased the LG model LP1419IVSM portable 10000 btu AC unit from Lowes. Thus far the unit has worked very well. The dual inverter feature is especially useful as we have it set up in a living room area with high ceilings.

I bought lg portable ac it stopped working after a year and also to repair the Guy from lg said its going to cost 800 dollar charging me more than the price I bought AC for LG is worst product doesnt last long and hard to fix any damage

I bought this right before the heatwave hit. It works great I find myself using the dehumidifier setting the most. I havent had to empty it yet and setup was relatively easy moving furniture so it was placed in a good spot was eh.. Its a little louder than I hoped for but mainly when its starting up.

Ive bought my portable 10009 btu air conditioner a couple of weeks ago. The unit is larger than expected but the performance is superior to any window ac unit. We set the unit up in the bedroom. When the unit is running the noise is minimal. You really cant call it noise because it is so quiet. Unlike most window units the room does not have cold or warm spots. The room temperature appears to be consistent. The LG portable ac unit is amazing. Best cooling experience ever Highly recommend this product.

Really like the unit. Quiet compared to my previous window unit and easy to install. I like like de-humidifier feature and cools well for my room size. LG had been a quality brand in my book.

I purchased this unit about a month and a half ago. It works well cools the room down and is quieter than my old window unit. I had a little trouble with the exhaust tube but it was a minor issue. I havent tried the wifi features yet.

Broke within 9 months

I give less than zero overall rating. I have been calling LG customer service for months because this unit broke down 9 months after I purchased it. I have been told over a dozen times that I will get a refund or replacement every time I call and nothing ever happens last call was with Annie who assured me this matter was escalated to upper management and still to this day nothing has been resolved. My credit card company wants a statement saying the unit cannot be repaired and I havent even got that from LG. The unit has a coolant leak after going through diagnostic with your people and still you havent sent me a statement that it is not repairable so my credit card company can refund me. I will continue to call regarding this matter. You have my email so why no help with this.
