This is our 3rd front load washer in the last 25 years. In all that time one would think that the companies could figure out how to prevent the machine from putting little holes all throughout lighter fabrics.

I researched washers and dryers looking for the highest ratings on durability and decided to go with LG. Unfortunately my washer was broken within a few months bearings. LG sent their warranty service center out 3 times to attempt a repair but they continued to be unsuccessful. After chatting and talking for days and days with foreign tech support and LG tech support telling me I need to resolve the issue with their warranty service center I was finally able to make someone understand LG is responsible for the warranty when their service people cant do their jobs. LG finally decided to replace my washer. I can only hope this one doesnt fail as well.

Not a review of the machine. Never actually took delivery. Direct order from LG was not correctly created and it didnt include removal of old machine. They showed up with machine and refused to remove old machine. Tried to get them to modify order while they were there. They were either unwilling or unable to do so. Later after they had wasted time gas etc. to fail to deliver as requested I spent over an hour on the phone being transferred back and forth between LG and the shipping company to resolve the issue. They STILL could modify the order. Enough is enough so I cancelled the entire order. More than enough incompetence to go around.

When looking for a new washer I decided to go right to the source. Because I see there are a LOT of complaints about delivery and things related to that I assume maybe some people are not very nice and may have blown things out of proportion. I am here to say they were not. Before ordering the unit I called to double check that the date listed as a delivery date was indeed the actual delivery date or was I going to get the runaround and told at the last minute that it was running late. The salesperson assured me it was the actual delivery date that was listed when I put in my information. He even offered a 5 discount if I ordered right then...so hey why not? DONT DO IT Do not order through this website....or even LG in general. After receiving several emails and texts about how smoothly my order was going and how perfectly on time it will be it was all a lie. I took off from work tomorrow to make sure I was here to receive the washer. At 11:07 this morning I received another happy email about how my delivery would be on time and that it is on the truck. At 4:51pm tonight I received another email and text telling me my delivery was delayed till NEXT WEEK AND random phone call from a mystery number who asked me to give out my home address which I did not to confirm my address that was already confirmed in allllllllllllll of the emails. This woman was rude and really annoyed at me that I would not supply a random person from an unknown caller number my home address. I called LG to find out what was going on where I spoke to a man who had a screeching bird piercing my eardrums through the phone. He was very nice. He agreed it sounded strange and he did not blame me for be suspicious. He realized that it may have been a legit call from the shipping company LG contracts out to deliver their products. He transferred me to them to find out what I already knew. She was rude again. I said I just wanted to cancel my order at this point because I dont trust that they wont keep putting off the delivery like I have seen a lot of people complaining about. And I could not take another day off from work and loose my salary for the day AGAIN. That person told me I had to speak with LG to cancel my order. So she put me on hold for a long time and transferred me to LGs Technical dept. This was all to try to run down the time till quitting time for everybody of course. This was an hour and a half into trying to figure out what was going on. So I had to re-explain everything to her before she finally told me she was the technical support and could not help me. That person put me on hold for another few minutes and I arrived back to the guy with the squawking bird Im 3 hours in at this point Then he says will I agree to keep the machine if they compensate me for the inconvenience. I said it would have to be enough to compensate me for my lost wages of taking the day off and then having to take another day off to wait and hope it will actually be delivered. SO he passed me on to some person via text message The text message person was really doing a great job at asking questions and waiting several minutes to get back to me with another question after I promptly answered his previous one. He offered a compensation of $100 off and an extra year on top of the regular warranty...which I had already paid for. I told him it was not enough to make up for me having to take another day off so he said we could not agree on a settlement. NOW I cant figure out how to cancel this order He did not reply to me when I told him to just cancel it. I said I would go online to do it there but now I see there is no way to do that I am going to alert the credit card company tomorrow. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS WEBSITE Just get this stuff from a big box store. At least you can take it back to them or cancel easily if something like this happens with them. It is not worth the hours of work you will have to put in just to purchase a product I feel like I have been scammed.

Got a Washer with issues - Pls read review

13 day old washer: Researched before purchase. Thought LG was good due to Consumer Reports reviews on brand and other reviews. I have not been paid for this review nor did I get my washer at a discounted price other than sale at Aztec Appliance SD CA I purchased this 29 March delivery 01 May 2024. Delay due to the pedestal drawers not being available. My previous washer was still working so not an issue. Washer professionally installed with all new hoses corded stainless etc. Washer started leaking into the pedestal drawer about 1/2 gallon by the time I found it. No leaks from hoses or air vent not running under the washer but directly into drawer. Washer is no 13 days old. We are a retired couple so not doing excessive loads like you do when you have a full home of kids. We think this is the Filter Assembly. But Warranty Repair not scheduled for another 10 days. I keep emptying the water. The first repair company LG scheduled was suppose to come out yesterday they Omega Appliance Repair in San Diego CA cancelled and never contacted us. I took a day off from work for that visit had to call back and deal with LG Customer service overseas call center 45 min on the phone. LG said the repair company should have called the repair company said LG should have called and rescheduled as they refused the appointment. Both LG and Omega dropped the ball. ________________________________________ Pros: Quiet - seems to get clothes clean Cons: Leaking water. Controls not lighted / guess that is normal. Filter assembly separate door you have to keep checking - we think that is where our leak is.

In consumer reports this was ratedLG Washer and dryer The best one to get. I am still hopeful that this is true but you cannot tell after just having it for a few weeks still havent received a water bill yet to see how it holds up. Before purchasing this pair I had a Sears Kenmore washer and dryer of the same type and it lasted over 20 years. Hoping this will do the same.

Manufacturer quality of washer

Washer was purchased brand new from Home Depot delivered and set up. February 2024 we notice the inside stainless drum was rusting and causing spots on our laundry. Called LG as instructed to thru warrant information. LG keeps telling me it is not covered but our warranty documents show that the stainless drum has a 3-year warranty. So far thru text messages LG keeps telling us the washer is not covered. I have contacted one of the service companies the sent. The tother company is located in Georgia we live in south Florida Waiting on their response. If we do not get satisfaction and the request to have our drum replaced at their expense our next call will be to Home Depot. Otherwise the washer works as it should but is loud like the reviews we have read before our purchase. This washer was purchased as a replacement for the washer had since we built our home almost 20 years ago and was not cost effective to reapir.

Terrible washing machine

This washer is terrible I can not get it to rinse out the soap . Clothes come out with soap left in them. I have to wash then put 2 extra rinses on to have the water come out clear. I have cleaned the washer. I am now down to using 1 tsp of liquid soap no pods. Very disappointed in this machine. I have contacted customer service and they are not helpful. There is no soap build up since it is new and I have cleaned it multiple times. Would not recommend this washer at all

LG advertises their ThinQ technology that can monitor/control your laundry with an App. I got the App set up new account tried to add appliances easy to do just scan the code on appliance with your phone However I am unable to add my appliances as This product is not currently supported in LG ThinQ. Washer 3470 Dryer model 3471 Even on the Home Depot website there is a photo of LG ThinQ with this model - very tricky must read the fine print I purchased in person at Home Depot and Im sure I saw a sticker on the appliances with ThinQ in the store. I chose this model because it had all the cycles I needed and the price point was good. I do not need or use all the bells and whistles offered on the more expensive machines. Very upsetting that the ad misleads you that it has ThinQ. The appliances say Smart Diagnostics on it not sure what that is? There is also No drum light inside. Even my old 18 year old Kenmore had a drum light inside. This washer is very large and very deep inside and I end up using a flashlight to make sure I get everything out because the first few times I used this items were indeed left behind.

Great washer but missing detergent dispenser

I bought this washer two months ago. It works great except it was missing the detergent cup which goes into the dispenser tray. I have called customer service TWICE and each time they promised to send the detergent cup. I still have not received it. Im disappointed in the customer service Without the cup in the tray the detergent makes a mess having to measure it into another cup

This machine does not remove the soap from my clothes. I have to rinse 3 times in order to get all the soap out. I have cleaned the tub used less soap etc. but it doesnt rinse well enough. I have spoken to the service department and no change. Would never buy this again
