Excellent Value with Steep Learning Curve

I bought LG because my appliance repairmen recommended the brand and I chose this very basic model because of the excellent on-line price and good direct sales service at LG. The enclosed Quick Guide Owners Manual that came with the shipment did not cover this exact model rather detailed every possible function in the entire range of washers so I had to download my models specific operation details from the website for clarity. Normal cycle doesnt seem to supply enough wash water at least for large loads and hitting the Deep Fill button transitions to Deep Wash which fills the washer to maximum capacity which can be way too much water. When I asked about this before buying the machine on-line support said Id be able to control the specific amount of water but that is definitely not the case with this washer. A post-sales call resulted in the same misinformation. A smaller load of whites cleaned just fine in Normal and other cycles seem to supply perfect levels of water but Heavy Duty takes over an hour and a half to finish a load - maybe my towels and jeans could finally use such a long thorough cleaning. Dont waste your time with the ThinQ application on this model the app must be optimized for more advanced models. The machines chimes and the song that plays at the end of a washing cycle are too loud and despite on-line supports information can not be turned off or lowered. Agents dont seem to be trained on the very specific model you ask about they reference buttons and displays that dont exist. At such a low price I can overlook each quirk and the overall effort if the brands reliability proves itself in the coming years.

Ignore the inaccurate Owners Manual definitions when they even exist. According to LG technicians the Normal cycle is only meant for a very small load of only a few items of the exact same type of item. For example only 2-3 shirts or 2-3 towels total. Anything different that is washed on Normal cycle will not even be submerged in water. In response LG say the machine works as designed. They offer work-around suggestions which completely contradict the Owners Manuals instructions and their own High Efficiency requirements. They even shrugged it off as the result of being just a basic model. So since this basic model fails to accomplish the most basic function of a washing machine to wash your laundry I recommend you buy a GE basic model not high efficiency. With this more expensive LG model your laundry wont even get clean unless you waste more money on filling the tub regardless of size of the load. The technicians also informed me they have given the LG engineers the ever growing list of customers requesting a solution to this problem and yet LG keeps selling the model and telling us theres nothing wrong with it.

READ BEFORE YOU PURCHASE FROM LG WEBSITE

I originally ordered a washing machine from LGs website on August 19. I selected the delivery date of Sept. 3.. The day before the delivery I received an email from LG telling me the delivery date was being moved to Sept. 6. On Sept 5th I called to confirm a delivery time. They transferred me to their 3rd party delivery company LX Pantos. I was told there was a mix-up and they dont deliver on Saturdays so I would need to be rescheduled for Sept 12. They told me this was LGs fault and to take it up with them. I was very unhappy I had to wait another week so I called LGs customer service. They apologized and gave me a $50 discount and 1-year extended warranty. I said that was OK and accepted the new delivery date. I was told I would receive a call the morning of the delivery or night before to inform me of the time window during which they would be coming. On the morning of Sept 12 I never received a call so I called the delivery company and was told it was on the truck and would be at my home between 11-3pm and the delivery driver would call me when he was on his way. At 4:45 after they did not show or call I called the delivery company again. I was told the delivery window changed to 1-5pm. I knew they were not going to make it since that window was almost closed so I addressed my concerns and was told they deliver until 7pm and it will be there. After no one called or showed by 7:30 I called the delivery company back and was told they werent sure what happened and they would transfer me to LG. LGs office was closed by this time so I had to call back the next day Saturday Sept. 13 When I spoke with LG on Sept 13 I was told this was a LX Pantos problem and I had to deal with them. I asked to speak with a supervisor to help escalate this and was told there was nothing they could do. I then received an email from LG telling me my delivery date was moved with no explanation on why they didnt show on Sept 12 to 9/19. I called Delos Santos to tell them this was unacceptable. They said that they would have Christian from Distribution call me on Monday. 9/15. I called back on 9/15 when I did not receive a call from Christian and was given Christians number to call him/her directly. The number did not answer and does not allow you to leave a voicemail. I then called LX Pantos back and they told me they felt really bad and were able to move the date up to 9/17. I then received a confirmation email from LG stating the date was moved to 9/17 and I would receive a call the day before or morning of giving me a delivery time window. I did not receive a call so I called them the morning of 9/17. I was told that there was an issue with the barcode and that they can not deliver it that day and it will need to be rescheduled for 9/19. I called LG and they told me theres nothing they can do. Their customer service is in the Philippines and they could not provide me with a US phone number for support. They said that because its in LX Pantos hands there is nothing more they can do. I called LX Pantos again asking for support and was told they would have a supervisor call me back. At this point I have now called off two days of work waiting for this delivery and spent over 15 hours on the phone trying to track down my washing machine. I understand that things happen and delivery days need to be adjusted. However I have never experienced such a blatant disregard for what I was going through as a customer from both LGs call center and LX Pantos. Not only could no one help me but it seemed like no one cared. I finally received my washing machine on 9/18 I had to call to receive a time window that day as well. When delivered they tracked mud across my floor requiring me to steam clean my carpets. The washing machine does seem to work well so far Its only been a week. My suggestion to you purchase from a local retailer with much better customer service and support. This was the worst purchasing experience of my life and thats saying something I will never purchase anything from LG ever again. I hope this helps anyone reading this.

I am submitting a formal complaint against LG Electronics regarding a washer purchase that has resulted in over a month of failed deliveries misleading communication and unresolved service. On July 19 2024 I purchased a washer online from LG and scheduled delivery for Friday July 25 2024. I took the day off work to ensure I was home. By 2:00 p.m. no delivery had arrived. When I called LG at 2:12 p.m. I was told to contact their delivery company at 844 740-3966. That company informed me they never received the washer from LG. I immediately called LG back at 2:26 p.m. and spent 28 minutes on the phone. I was told the delivery company would reschedule within 2448 hours. However no one contacted me. From that point forward I made numerous calls to LG and the delivery company between July 28 and August 15 repeatedly being told conflicting information: That my order was being rescheduled then that it was canceled. That a replacement machine was in transit only to later be told the delivery company never had it. That my washer had been delivered when it had not. That a manager would return my call yet after multiple requests I never received a single follow-up. Key timeline highlights: July 30: Received an email saying LG received a return/replacement request although I never initiated one. July 31: Assigned a new order number. August 4: Email stating the washer was shipped. August 5: Delivery company said they had no record of the order. August 12: Delivery company again confirmed they never received the washer from LG. LG offered me $50 compensation but could not resolve delivery. August 15: Made three separate calls. I was given contradictory information: first told the washer was with the delivery company then told I had already received it which is false and then told LG was still waiting on an email confirmation. I have spent countless hours on the phone with LG received repeated false statements been denied escalation to a manager always in a meeting and still have no washer delivered nearly a month later. At this point I am requesting that LG either: 1.Immediately deliver the washer I purchased or an Upgraded model of their choice at no additional cost. LGs mishandling of this purchase has caused me financial loss taking off work for missed delivery repeated phone calls frustration and a lack of trust in their service.

I just got this today. I had Best Buy swap it with another brand washer I purchased. We did 3 washes right away to make sure we didnt get another dud. My wife likes it cause of the simplicity she doesnt need a degree to operate it. We had to have an agitator had to be quite not dance all over the floor when in spin cycle and clean cloths. This machine checks all the boxes. Its made in the USA. When I close the washroom door its silent and very quite if the door is open.

Regular cycle doesnt add nearly enough water clothes dont even get fully wet let alone submerged. Have to use extra fill. No matter how items are loaded they are usually a tangled wad upon completion. Add the chiming What good is it to have a quiet cycle if the thing dings a million times trying to get cycle adjusted correctly b/c detergent cant be loaded at start empties immediately onto dry clothing leaving big residue blobs b/c again not enough water is used. And the cycle done song Forget if there is a small child or anyone sleeping its alarm clock loud w/o adjustment. HATE it

This washer I bought one week ago and it is a life changer I love the different cycles and all my clothes have washed great so far. Its important to note if you have a full load maybe to select deep wash. Best washing machine I have had in my lifetime. Remember to also remove the tray if your using powder soap. I have loaded large blankets/comforters and they have cleaned completely well. Great cycles and easy to operate. Very quiet with a nice tune at the end of the cycle so you know your wash is complete.

Im really sorry I listened to CR and bought this washer. Day 1 I tested the spin cycle empty and it vibrated so badly that it shook the house. 3 weeks later they replaced the tub and it still shakes but not quite as bad. The repair guy said that is normal for LG even he didnt like the brand Im afraid to use it but Im stuck with it.

In a less than 1000 sqf condo we used to have a whirlpool washer with similar size and function but this LG washer 6105 cw is way better in almost all aspects. it is quieter larger smarter and wash cleaner than the old one. we love it and totally recommend it

I like this washer so far. The pros are that it is quiet has a good balancing system and you can wash a lot in one load. The cons are I dislike the normal setting just not enough water to properly wash the clothes. So I have learned to use the Heavy Duty or the Deepwash. I have only had it a few months so cant comment on durability.

First running a load it wouldnt drain and started blinking like crazy after it said it was complete the clothes would come out dripping wet I was ringing out the clothes of water. I would try again. 4 hours later and same thing. I ended up unplugging washer with all clothes on there and running another load and after 6 hours bingo Then it did the below see images with the detergent and ruined this towel. Absolutely awful machine

I have no control over adding more water. All cycles should have hot water. Heavy duty cycle is way too long. My clothes were way more white. If I knew how this machine worked prior to buying it it would not. The dryer is nice. I quinge when its laundry time.

Miss my GE already. This thing wasnt supposed to have a lidlock according to the one at Lowes. I purchased this thing because the lidlock on the GE broke once a year. Should have spent my money by stocking up on locks for my GE. I pretty much hate everything about this LG so far. No selection on load size. Cant do anything with the lid up. At least with the GE I could start the water with the lid up. It washes clothes. Thats about all I can say about it. Waste of money. Gonna steer away from anything GE. The people they have doing their shipping when ordered online are incompetent at best. Took them 3 weeks to get it here and neither them or LG company answer their phones or offer any kind of help. Never ordering any more appliances online. Worst experience ever. Guess Ill see how long this pile lasts. Keeping my GE just in case I wasted $600 on this garbage Id rather put switches in once a year. Very very dissatisfied

This thing is a piece. No load size adjustment for water. Its either all or nothing. It washes clothes.Thats the only good thing about this pile. I was told it didnt have a lidlockbut when I got it does. That was the main reason I bought the thing. Come to find out it does. The one on display at Lowes didnt have the lidlock but mine does. Its about the most inconvenient joke of a machine Ive ever owned. Lidlock broke on my GE twice. Was trying to get away from having to put a lock switch in it every year. Should have just stocked up on $600 worth of switches. It would have been a better choice. Miss my GE already.

Seems to be a fairly good washing machine. When I get the time I will try to figure out how to add some water to the regular wash cycle.

LG top load washer is the worse machine of Ive owned in my life. It is a struggle to get my laundry done. I tried to return it but LG doesnt give a crap about customers which is demonstrated by their outsourcing of calls to ppl who can not do anything but spin complaints in a circle.

I bought this machine at lowes on 6/24/2023. As soon as I started washing I didnt like how it didnt have the different size loads so I called and asked how to choose the size of wash. The answer was not easy to understand so Ive been washing using the normal and deep wash cycles. Well the normal cycle is for very small loads. The deep cycle is for larger loads but this one takes about one and half hours to complete the cycle. I hate it so much. Out of frustration I called again and the answer was very vague. I want another washer that works and its easier to work with

We bought the set out of necessity but Id been hearing about the quality of LG for some time. Honestly the price was also a deciding factor. Weve been very pleased with the performance. It was quite an adjustment mentally because of all the features like adjustment and balancing loads. To sum it up it works like a charm.

I brought this a few months ago and have had nothing but problems with it. only used it a few times as it takes forever to wash clothes. After about 7 washes had to call it in to try to fix what was wrong. They gave me trobleshooting instructions over the phone which took way to long and did not fix the problem. Its a brand new washer and should not be having problems. I wish We had bought a different brand. To many issues. and still not working right.

Purchased in August.worked great for 2-3 months. Repairman that LG sent out was prompt and said parts had to be ordered. As a family of 6 money is tight but we saved to make this purchase. imagine our surprise that this wonderful time of year we are getting the opportunity to return to the laundromat twice a week$40 X 2 =80$ with 4 children Under the age of 5. the repairman is still waiting for the parts that have Not shipped from LG. maybe someone from LG can explain to my family why out gifts this wonderful season will be the opportunity to go to the laundromat twice a week. Yes I have explained to them that this is the season of giving. We r giving a local business the laundromat weekly money. We purchased from Lowes and paid full price

Excellent washer - looks Brand newDoesnt work

We bought washer in August. As a family of 6 you can imagine how tight money is. After many hours of overtime our family was able to make this purchase. Life was good for 2 -3 months until washer is not working. Multiple things wrong including main computer board. Try and imagine what our life is now..back to the laundromat twice a week with 4 kids in tow3 under the age of 4 $40. X 2=$80 week. Service repairman LG sent out was great..but they had to order parts and after 2 more weeks they tell me that Lg has not even shipped them yet. I am very hopeful that someone from LG will reach out and explain to our family that their Christmas Gifts this year is the opportunity to go to the laundromat twice a week instead of presents under the tree. I did explain to them this is the season of giving and we are ..$40 X 2 a week to the laundromat.ps..we bought from Lowes and paid full price
